Hey there my brave-little detoxifiers!
OMG, I’m so excited and I just can’t hide it! = I MUST SHARE!!
Yesterday I told Rhonda that my next post is going to be on CAULIFLOWER because of its diversity and amazing ability to act as a sort of “tofu” if you will, absorbing and taking on the flavors you give it to mesh with.
Well, as I was looking for some cool recipes to turn you on to like ~ Cauliflower Rice, Cauliflower Mash, Cocoa Roasted Cauliflower (which is supposed to be AMAZING), and Cauliflower Soup! ~ I discovered one of my favorite foods made with…you guessed it…Cauliflower! It just exploded my mind, man, Cauliflower Hummus??!!
Can’t wait to try making these:
Cauliflower Hummus and Roasted Cauliflower Garlic Hummus!
Lord have mercy, I LOVE my hummus and it’s a big heart~breaker to be separated from it for these 30 days of detox. Because really, ‘what do you mean I can’t have garbonzo beans?? They’re natural, aren’t they??‘ Yes, but they are filled with more fat (albeit, it’s the good kind of fat) & calories than actual nutrition, which is fine if you’re just eating a handful a day like cashews, but we don’t eat beans by the fews, we shovel them in by the bowl/plateful. No wonder beans make us FAT, huh?!
Okay, I know…enough with the beating-up of beans…this isn’t a class on Legumes; I won’t let that little bastard steal the spotlight from our beloved… <insert “OM” here>… ~ C A U L I F L O W E R.
Getting back on track here: You were each brave enough to sign up for this 30-Day Whole Foods Program, are you brave enough to conquer a Cauliflower challenge? Try one of these recipes or come up with one of your own! My mind keeps whispering “Try Curry! Try Curry!!” Which flavors would YOU try? Share your thoughts and ideas with us!
While you’re brainstorming, enjoy your lunch!
